Algeria: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: Algeria reported a case of coronavirus in a patient who returned from Italy on February 17th. This represented the first case of the virus in Africa.
Australia: 25 Cases, 0 Deaths, 15 Recovered: Australia announced its first case on January 17th from Wuhan. Australia has a China travel ban until March 7th. Six cases were confirmed in Queensland, one with recent travel to Iran.
Austria: 6 Cases, 0 Deaths: Austria announced its first case on February 25th. On February 28th, it announced 2 additional cases. The country banned all flights from Italy entering the country. One of the cases is an Iranian diplomat currently in Vienna.
Azerbaijan: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: Azerbaijan reported its first case on February 27th. The patient was a Russian who entered the country from Iran. Turkey closed its border with the country due to the virus and because Azerbaijan has not closed its border with Iran.
Bahrain: 38 Cases, 0 Deaths: Bahrain reported its 1st case on February 24th from Iran. The Health Ministry urged anyone with a fever, coughing, and difficulty breathing to isolate themselves and banned anyone from traveling to Iran. On February 25th, the number of cases quickly rose to 23 cases, all from Iran. The country announced the closure of all schools for two weeks. On February 28th, Bahrain announced 2 new cases of the virus. All reported cases originated from Iran.
Belarus: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: Belarus announced its first case on February 28th, an Iranian student who crossed into the country from Azerbaijan. People from China, Italy, Iran, and South Korea are all due for health checks when entering the country.
Belgium: 1 Case, 0 Deaths, 1 Recovered: Belgium announced the first case of the virus on February 4th, the patient has since recovered.
Brazil: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: Brazil announced the first case of coronavirus on February 27th and 182 suspected cases. This marked the first case in South America. The government is likely to cut its economic forecast due to the virus.
Canada: 16 Cases, 0 Deaths, 3 Recovered: Canada announced its first case on January 25th. Cases have been reported in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec. Canada recorded one new case on February 28th in Ontario, the man came from Egypt.
Cambodia: 1 Case, 0 Deaths, 1 Recovered: Cambodia recorded its first case on January 27th, who has since recovered. 200 factories halted production due to the virus.
China: 79,251 Cases, 2,835 Deaths, 39,002 Recovered: China was the epicenter of the virus, first reporting cases in December. On February 28th, China reported 427 new cases, making it the first time another country reported more cases in a day (South Korea).
Croatia: 5 Cases, 0 Deaths: Croatia reported its first case on February 25th in a man who recently traveled from Italy. The country reported 2 cases on February 27th and one on the 28th.
Denmark: 2 Cases, 0 Deaths: Denmark reported its first case on February 27th and another on the 28th. Both cases originated in Italy. One of the cases returned from Italy on February 15th but didn’t go to a doctor until the 27th.
Egypt: 1 Case(+), 0 Deaths, 1 Recovered: Egypt reported its first case of coronavirus on February 14th and the patient has since recovered. However, seven cases of people who recently traveled to the country (6 in France, 1 in Canada) brings up questions on whether the virus is more widespread in the country.
Estonia: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: Estonia reported its first case from Italy on February 27th.
Finland: 3 Cases, 0 Deaths: Finland reported its first case on February 26th and recently reported a case on February 28th. All cases originated from Italy.
France: 57 Cases, 2 Deaths, 11 Recovered: France reported Europe’s first case on January 24th. The first death was confirmed on February 15th. The country refused to close borders with Italy. On February 27th, the situation began to deteriorate when 20 new cases were reported. on February 28th, the country announced another 19 cases. The health minister urged citizens not to shake hands. Several schools in the Oise area, near Paris, will remain closed after holidays to stop the spread of the virus. Some cases were reported on a military base near Paris. At least 29 cases were locally transmitted.
Georgia: 2 Cases, 0 Deaths: A man from Iran tested positive for coronavirus on February 26th in Georgia. A woman tested positive from Italy on the 28th.
Germany: 51 Cases, 0 Deaths, 2 Recovered: Germany reported its first case on January 27th. On February 28th, Germany reported at least 8 new cases, spreading locally. On February 26th, the German health minister stated that the country is at the start of an epidemic.
Greece: 4 Cases, 0 Deaths: All four reported cases occurred since February 24th and originated from Italy. The health minister announced that carnival events in the country have closed.
Hong Kong: 93 Cases, 2 Deaths, 18 Recovered: Hong Kong confirmed its first case on January 2nd. Since then, multiple isolated cases were reported. 3 new cases were reported on February 27th.
Iceland: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: On February 28th, Iceland reported its first case, a 55-year old man who traveled from Italy.
India: 3 Cases, 0 Deaths, 3 Recovered: India reported 3 cases from China between January 30th and February 2nd. Since, all have recovered.
Iraq: 8 Cases, 0 Deaths: Iraq reported its first case on February 24th. Iraq since reported 7 cases, one on the 28th (In Kirkuk and Baghdad). All cases originated from Iran. Iraq closed all schools for 10 days to prevent the spread of the virus.
Iran: 388 Cases (+), 34 Deaths (+), 72 Recovered (+): Iran reported its first case on February 19th. Since then, it has turned into a significant outbreak, exporting cases to several different countries. On the 28th, Iran reported 143 new cases. However, studies suggest Iran could have upward of 10,000 cases and local officials report up to 250 deaths. An Iranian ambassador, the deputy head of the health ministry, and a football player were all infected.
Israel: 7 Cases, 0 Deaths: Israel reported multiple cases from the Diamond Cruise ship. On February 27th, a man from Italy tested positive in the country and his wife tested positive the next day. Up to 1,400 people in the country are quarantined.
Italy: 888 Cases, 21 Deaths, 46 Recovered: Italy reported its first cases on January 29th. Since, the situation quickly deteriorated, with clusters in Lombardy, Veneto, and other regions. Italy exported cases to 25 other countries. On the 28th, Italy reported 223 new cases, most locally transmitted. The Lombardy region, which includes the city of Milan, banned public events due to the virus. Dozens of towns in Veneto and Lombardy are locked down, with over 50,000 affected. Multiple countries either banned travel to Italy or issued travel warnings.
Japan: 234 Cases, 5 Deaths, 32 Recovered: Multiple cases were first reported in Japan in mid-January. Since then, the impact has spread and the Prime Minister stated that “the new coronavirus is having a major impact on tourism, the economy and our society as a whole.” Tokyo Disney and Universal both closed due to the spread. On February 28th, 17 new cases were reported in Japan, including 12 in Hokkaido. Hokkaido declared a state of emergency, urging people to stay in their homes due to local transmission.
Kuwait: 45 Cases, 0 Deaths: Kuwait reported 45 cases of the virus, all from Iran. The country canceled all celebrations for national day celebrations.
Lebanon: 4 Cases, 0 Deaths: Lebanon reported 4 cases all from Iran. Lebanon closed all schools until March 8th.
Lithuania: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: Lithuania reported its first case on February 28th after a patient returned from Italy.
Macau: 10 Cases, 0 Deaths, 6 Recovered: Macau closed all casinos for 2 weeks due to the virus in mid-February. No new cases have been reported since February 4th.
North Macedonia: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: Macedonia reported its first case on February 26th from Italy.
Malaysia: 25 Cases, 0 Deaths, 17 Recovered: Malaysia reported its first cases in late January. On February 28th, Malaysia reported 2 new cases, one originating from Japan and one from Italy.
Mexico: 2 Cases, 0 Deaths: 2 people who traveled to Italy tested positive in Mexico on February 28th.
Monaco: 1 Case, 0 Deaths. On February 29th, a person tested positive for coronavirus in Monaco. The patient was transferred to a hospital in Italy.
Nepal: 1 Case, 0 Deaths, 1 Recovered: One case was reported in Nepal on January 24th, who has since recovered. Since then, there has been no new cases in the country.
Netherlands: 2 Cases, 0 Deaths: the Netherlands reported its first and second cases on February 27th and 28th. Both patients recently visited Italy.
Nigeria: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: The first case of coronavirus was confirmed in Lagos after a patient who recently visited Italy tested positive for the virus.
Norway: 6 Cases, 0 Deaths: Norway reported its first case on February 26th. On February 28th, 2 employees from Oslo university hospital tested positive. All cases were linked to either Iran or Italy.
New Zealand: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: A patient tested positive on February 28th in Auckland hospital after returning from Iran. The patient made a stopover in Indonesia.
Oman: 6 Cases, 0 Deaths: Oman reported its first case on February 24th. On February 27th, it reported 2 new cases. All cases were linked to Iran.
Pakistan: 2 Cases, 0 Deaths: Pakistan reported 2 cases on February 26th. The country announced the closure of several schools to prevent an outbreak. Additionally, people with flu-like symptoms were urged to avoid going to mosque.
Phillippines:3 Cases, 1 Death, 2 Recovered: All 3 cases in Phillippines were reported from January 30th to February 5th. Since then, one person died and the other two recovered.

Russia: 2 Cases, 0 Deaths, 2 Recovered: Russia reported 2 cases on January 30th from China, who have since recovered. On February 28th, Moscow announced that it would deport 88 foreigners for violating quarantine measures.
San Marino: 1 Case, 0 Deaths: One person with travel history to Italy tested positive for the virus on February 27th.
Singapore: 98 Cases, 0 Deaths, 69 Recovered: Singapore confirmed its first case on January 23rd. On February 28th, 2 new cases were reported. 27 Cases were locally transmitted and 10 cases have uncertain links.
South Korea: 2,931 Cases, 16 Deaths, 24 Recovered: South Korea’s outbreak started on January 22nd. Since, tens of thousands of people have been tested for the outbreak. South Korea delayed school and told people not to go to work if they showed symptoms. The country locked down Daegu and other cities to prevent the spread. Multiple countries banned or warned against travel. On February 28th, nearly 1,000 new cases were reported.
Spain: 32 Cases, 0 Deaths, 2 Recovered: On January 31st, Spain had its first case of the virus. Since February 27th, 12 new cases were confirmed. Multiple cases were locally transmitted.
Sri Lanka: 1 Case, 0 Deaths, 1 Recovered: Sri Lanka reported its first case on January 27th, who has since recovered. Due to a panic, the country was forced to put price regulations on masks.
Sweden:11 Cases, 0 Deaths: Sweden had its first case on January 31st. Since February 26th, 10 additional cases were confirmed. At least two cases were reportedly locally transmitted.
Switzerland: 8 Cases, 0 Deaths: Switzerland reported its first case on February 25th. Since, it reported 8 new cases, including a google employee. The country banned all events with over 1,000 people.
Taiwan: 34 Cases, 0 Deaths, 5 Recovered: Taiwan first reported a case in late January. On February 28th, it reported 2 additional cases. Local transmission has been confirmed in the country.
Thailand: 41 Cases, 0 Deaths, 28 Recovered: Thailand was the first country to report cases outside of China. At least 6 cases were locally transmitted. Thailand reported 4 additional cases since February 25th.
UAE: 19 Cases, 0 Deaths, 5 Recovered: UAE received its first cases in late January from China. 7 New cases were reported since February 27th. There has not been any reports of local transmission.
United Kingdom: 20 Cases, 0 Deaths, 8 Recovered: On January 31st, UK had its first 2 coronavirus cases. On February 28th, the UK announced 4 additional cases, including one that was locally transmitted. The UK set up a drive-thru screening center.
United States: 64 Cases, 0 Deaths, 6 Recovered: The first case of coronavirus in the US was confirmed on January 21st. 47 cases were repatriated from Wuhan or the Diamond Cruise Ship. 13 cases had travel history to places with the virus, 4 cases had unknown links, and 2 were human-to-human spread. Cases with unknown links were reported in California, Oregon, and Washington. The US Stock market tanked by around 10% in one week due to fears over the virus.
Vietnam: 16 Cases, 0 Deaths, 16 Recovered: Vietnam reported its first cases in late January. As of February 25th, all patients recovered and were released. Many people shared skepticism that the government was releasing accurate data involving the virus.
