(PM)- At least six people have been injured after a shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California. The school is located about 40 miles north of Los Angeles. Two people are in critical condition.
According to the Los Angeles County sheriff’s office, the suspect is an Asian male who is 15-16 and was seen in black clothing. The suspect died from a self-inflicting gunshot wound.
Saugus High School and multiple other schools are on lockdown in the area. Residents in the immediate area are also urged to shelter in place.
Parents are being directed to Central Park on Bouquet Canyon to be reunited with their children.
The bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives (ATF) is responding to the incident.
