(PM)- According to the Syrian Observatory, Turkish forces have taken control of the Tal Halaf area in the town of Ras Al-ayn, Syria. The town was previously controlled by Kurdish forces.
The Syrian Observatory states that 54 SDF, or Syrian Democratic Forces, fighters died in the conflict in Northern Syria and 42 Turkish forces died.
At least 4,000 people were displaced from Ras Al-ayn.
On Friday, US Treasury Secretary stated that President Trump signed an executive order giving US authority to sanction the Turkish government.
