(PM)- Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, has announced via Twitter that he is withdrawing from the 2020 Presidential Race.
Ryan stated: “I got into this race in April to really give voice to the forgotten people of our country. I look forward to continuing that fight. Thank you to everyone who supported this campaign.”
Ryan also announced that he will run again for his House seat. He did not endorse any candidates in the 2020 race.
The candidate launched his campaign in April and focused on economic issues in rust belt states. Ryan failed to gain traction and consistently polled at under one percent.
He raised a weak $425,000 in the quarter that ended on September 30th and ended the quarter with less than $160,000 on hand. Recently, several staffers left his campaign, with two taking senior roles with the Yang campaign.
