(PM) – At least one person was shot near a parking lot by the Minnesota State Fair, according to Saint Paul Police.
According to journalist Cole Heath, a person was hit by a car near the fair entrance and another person was shot. There is no word if the incidents are related.
Joe Mazan, a reporter for KTSP, states that a person was originally hit by a car before gunshots were heard. Mazan claims that witnesses said there was a fight at the front gate.
The Minnesota State Fair took place in Saint Paul, Minnesota, from August 22nd to September 2nd. As many as 250,000 people attend the fair each day.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and people scrambling the area.
Police closed one gate to the fair due to the incident, but it was later reopened.
There is no information yet on whether a suspect is in custody.
