HUTCHINSON, Kan. (PM) — The U.S. Geological Survey states an earthquake rocked parts of Kansas near Hutchinson.
The earthquake transpired Friday morning, with an epicenter approximately 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) from Hutchinson.
The federal agency stated the earthquake registered at 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale.
There were no immediate reports of major damage or injuries.
WIBW reports people from almost 140 miles (225 kilometers) away in Topeka described feeling the quake.
