WASHINGTON (PM) — An Afghan militant shot and killed two American soldiers in Afghanistan, U.S. officials announced Monday.
The officials talked anonymously because they weren’t allowed to comment on the record about details that have not yet been made public.
U.S. Central Command verified that two U.S. troops were killed, but presented no details. It stated additional information is being delayed until 24 hours after notification of next of kin is finished.
According to officials, the Afghan soldier was injured and is in imprisonment. The shooting took place in Kandahar in South Afghanistan.
