Several tornado-warned storms affected small communities early this morning across parts of Texas and Oklahoma.
Injuries were reported in these areas.
Large amounts of damage were reported by storm chasers and law enforcement officials in Geronimo, Oklahoma. At least one person was injured in the town located just east of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Another tornado in Ballinger, Texas, damaged several homes including a baseball field and the city water tower. More than 49,000 homes lost power in the Ballinger area following the early morning twister.
At Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, over 400 flights were delayed due to the severe weather in the area.
These storms were part of the same system from yesterday’s outbreak across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska.
