(PM) — The R&B musician faces 11 new charges of sexual assault and sexual abuse, new court records state.
According to USA Today, these 11 charges include:
- 4 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault
- 2 counts of criminal sexual assault by force
- 2 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse
- 3 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against a victim who was at least age 13 and under 17 at the time
Each of the four new aggravated criminal sexual assault counts carries maximum terms of 30 years in prison for each count.
Kelly also faces ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse involving four women years ago, three who were minors when the violation occurred.
The new charges focus on one new victim, only IDd in the court filing as “J.P”. It is not known if the new victims are one of the original four accusers in the first indictment.
Kelly plead not guilty to the initial charges in February 2019, and will likely plead not guilty to these charges in the future.
