Severe thunderstorms are likely across a wide area as part of the active Friday for severe weather across the United States.
Yesterday brought large amounts of rainfall across parts of Illinois and Indiana and reports of large hail with a few tornado warnings issued in eastern Illinois and western Indiana.
With an active weather pattern coming off the eastern Pacific Ocean and over the Rocky Mountains, this system will produce areas of severe weather in Texas, the Northern Plains, the Ohio Valley, and the Atlantic coast. However, the tornado threat is more likely for Kansas and Nebraska.
If you live in the severe regions, be sure to continue monitoring weather apps and news outlets.
